Size: 9.5 cm Family: Pomacentridae Minimum Tank Size: 100 litres Overview The Humbug Damsel, also known as the Three Striped Damselfish, White-tailed Damselfish, or Humbug Dascyllus, is a striking fish marked by three bold black bands separated by two white bands, with a smaller white bar near the tail. It is suitable for a 100-litre aquarium or larger, with plenty of hiding places to accommodate its territorial behaviour. As the Humbug Damsel matures, it can become aggressive, making it a good tankmate for other moderately aggressive species in a community setup. However, it is reef safe, and will not harm invertebrates or disturb the tank environment. Its diet should include a mix of meaty items, herbivore preparations, and flaked foods to meet its nutritional needs.
