This peaceful wrasse makes a vibrant addition to any reef aquarium, bringing a splash of colour. Males display more intense colours during courtship, and their colours can shift based on mood. This species is a peaceful, active fish that will add both movement and beauty to reef or fish-only aquariums of at least 340 litres. The Blue Throat Fairy Wrasse is reef-safe, posing no threat to corals or invertebrates. A single male can be housed with a group of females, as long as they are introduced together or before the male. Because wrasses are known to jump, it's essential to have a tightly fitted canopy over the tank. To maintain its health, the Blue Throat Fairy Wrasse should be fed vitamin-enriched frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other meaty foods, alongside high-quality marine flake and pellet foods. Wrasses are highly active and benefit from being fed several times a day.
