Phosphate Minus

High-quality phosphate and silica removal media that can be used in a fluidized reactor for fresh and saltwater tanks. Aquaforest Phosphate minus is essentially GFO that has been rinsed to remove any fines and debris. Phosphate Minus will remove phosphates and silica from the aquarium, leading to overall better water quality and a reduced fuel-source for algae growth.    Two Sizes Available: 1000 mL 5000 mL   Instructions   We recommend starting with 100 mL of Phosphate Minus for every 100L of Saltwater into any up flow reactor or media bag. For freshwater use 100 mL of Phosphate Minus per 200L . After implementing Phosphate Minus, you should test your phosphate levels for decreasing values. After a few weeks, your tanks phosphate levels will start to rise back up, and that is when the media should be replaced. With different feeding habits and bioloads, the length of time Phosphate Minus should be used will be different for each tank.
