Setup & tips
- Dose according to the tank volume, not just a flat amount, for the best result
- Add an ammonia source (or your first hardy livestock) after dosing, since the bacteria need something to feed on to establish
- Keep testing ammonia and nitrite through the cycling period rather than assuming it's done
- Avoid running carbon or UV sterilisation immediately after dosing, as this can reduce bacterial establishment
