Not every pair of Neptune Systems modules sits right next to each other, but they're often not far apart either — mounted on the same board or in the same general area of a stand. The Neptune Systems Aquabus 3' Cable is sized specifically for this in-between distance.
It's commonly included with Neptune's expansion modules and remains a genuinely useful length to keep on hand.
