Each Bio Brick is made of high-quality ceramic soil, after the ingredients, balls and firing processes, spherical ceramic particles are formed. Then four million spherical particles are stacked and formed. A hole that forms a large number of three-dimensional channels. Increase the area of build up beneficial bacteria.
GAE Bio Brick is completely inert and will not breakdown. It doesn't need to be replaced. It's compatible with all types of wet or wet-dry filters. It's an excellent media for aerobic nitrification. Ideal place in drip trays, canister filters, display tank, sumps, or even box filters.
