Overview

For reef keepers wanting more display space than a standard nano tank without stepping up to a full-size system, the Max Nano G2 XL from Red Sea delivers a genuinely complete, plug-and-play reef system in a larger, deeper footprint.

At 33 gallons total system volume, it's the deepest and widest plug-and-play nano system Red Sea has released, coming fully equipped with everything needed to sustain a thriving reef.

Key features
  • 33 gallon total system volume with a rimless design in 10mm ultra-clear glass
  • Includes Red Sea's REEF-SPEC, WiFi-connected ReefLED 60 lighting, tunable from 10,000K reef-white to 23,000K REEF-SPEC blue
  • Rear sump with 1550 LPH Sicce return pump, circulating the entire system volume around 10 times per hour
  • 225-micron filter sock and dedicated MAX NANO XL protein skimmer for efficient waste removal
  • Built-in auto top-off with a 2.7 litre reservoir, sufficient for around 2 days of evaporation
  • ReefATO+ and NanoMat-ready rear sump for future upgrades

Who it's for

Reef keepers wanting genuinely more coral real estate and display depth than a standard nano cube, without the footprint or complexity of a full-size aquarium.

Setup & tips
  • Pair with the matching cabinet for a fully integrated look and hidden equipment storage
  • Use the ReefBeat app to program lighting schedules, including sunrise, sunset and an acclimation program for new installations
  • Fit the ReefATO+ (sold separately) for automated top-off with temperature monitoring and leak detection
  • Add a heater, which is not included, before setting the system up for the first time
