Overview

Manual water changes are one of the most valuable — and most frequently skipped — parts of reef maintenance, simply because hauling buckets is tedious. The Kamoer Water Change System X2Sr automates the entire process, pulling old water out and replacing it with fresh saltwater on a schedule you set from your phone.

With built-in overflow protection and WiFi app control, it takes one of reefkeeping's most repetitive chores off your plate entirely.

Key features
  • Fully automatic water changes controlled remotely via WiFi app
  • Flow rate of more than 900ml per minute
  • Anti-overflow sensor triggers an alarm and halts water flow if levels get too high
  • Programmable for up to 24 dosing events per day, from once daily to once every 99 days
  • Built-in automatic top-off function to replenish evaporated water via a submersible pump interface
What's in the box
  • X2Sr pump unit
  • Power adapter
  • Tubing and float level sensors
Who it's for

Reef keepers who want to automate regular water changes without manual bucket work, particularly valuable for anyone maintaining nutrient export through dilution alongside — or instead of — supplement dosing.

Setup & tips
  • Run a flow calibration before first use to ensure the water removed matches the water added
  • Keep the inlet tubing run as short as possible and suspend the outlet tubing above the tank
  • Double-check inlet and outlet connections are the right way around before running your first scheduled change
  • Position the anti-overflow sensor carefully in the sump to catch any issues early
