Overview
Mounting a new frag onto a full-size piece of aquascaping rock often means committing prime rockwork space long before you know how — or where — that coral will actually grow. Frag Rock from Java Reef Rock is a small, purpose-cut piece of natural rock designed specifically for mounting individual frags, giving you a flexible, movable base to grow corals on before committing them to the main aquascape.
It's an inexpensive, practical way to keep your fragging and grow-out process organised.
Key features
- Small, natural reef rock sized specifically for individual frag mounting
- Porous structure supports biofilm and coralline algae growth over time
- Easy to reposition within the tank as a coral grows, without disturbing the main aquascape
Who it's for
Anyone fragging corals, growing out new frags before committing them to the display, or building a frag rack or grow-out system.
Setup & tips
- Rinse before use to clear any loose dust from handling
- Glue frags securely using a cyanoacrylate coral glue, holding in place until set
- Keep pieces spaced apart on a frag rack so growing colonies don't touch and sting each other
- Reposition as needed to find each frag's ideal light and flow before moving it into the display
