Overview

Coralline algae builds a genuine grip on glass over time, and a single-blade cleaner often isn't enough to shift the stubborn stuff without a lot of elbow grease. The Flipper Edge Magnetic Glass Cleaner solves that with a dual-blade design that flips from scrubber to scraper with a simple twist of the handle, all without you needing to get your hands wet.

Its low-profile wet side and strong rare-earth magnets make it easy to clean right into corners and along the base of the glass.

Key features
  • Dual-blade design for both stubborn algae removal and everyday film scrubbing
  • Flips from scrubber to scraper with a simple twist of the outer handle
  • Includes interchangeable 316 stainless steel and acrylic-safe plastic blades, both reversible for extended blade life
  • Rare-earth magnets provide strong, reliable holding power
  • Suited to glass and acrylic tanks up to 1/2" (12mm) thick
What's in the box
  • Flipper Edge cleaner (wet and dry sides)
  • 2x 316 stainless steel blades
  • 2x acrylic-safe plastic blades
Who it's for

Reef keepers with standard glass or acrylic tanks up to 1/2" thick who want an efficient, hands-free way to manage both routine film algae and stubborn coralline buildup.

Setup & tips
  • Use the stainless steel blade on glass and the acrylic-safe plastic blade on acrylic tanks to avoid scratching
  • Flip near the water surface in low-current areas of the tank for the smoothest handle transition
  • Rotate or replace blades every 3–6 months to maintain optimal scraping power
  • Check for trapped sand before use near the substrate, since debris caught in the blade assembly is the main cause of scratches
