Overview

Filter socks need constant rinsing and swapping to stay effective, and once they clog, flow — and mechanical filtration — drops off fast. The D-D ClariSea SK-5000 XL Quick Change Fleece Roll is a replacement roll of fine, non-woven polyester fleece for the ClariSea SK-5000XL automatic roller filter, giving you months of consistent, maintenance-free mechanical filtration.

As the fleece loads up with waste, the ClariSea system automatically advances to a fresh section, so filtration performance stays consistent instead of gradually declining like a filter sock does.

Key features
  • Fine, high-flow, non-woven polyester fleece designed for the ClariSea SK-5000XL system
  • A single roll provides months of operation before needing replacement
  • Effectively removes suspended particles — micro algae, detritus, uneaten food and other fine debris — from the water column
  • Suitable for marine, freshwater and coral propagation systems
What's in the box
  • 1x SK-5000XL replacement fleece roll
Who it's for

Anyone running a ClariSea SK-5000XL automatic roller filter who's due for a replacement roll, or setting up a new unit for the first time.

Setup & tips
  • Load the roll following your ClariSea unit's threading instructions, making sure it feeds through squarely to avoid jamming
  • Keep a spare roll on hand so you're never caught without media mid-cycle
  • Check the take-up spool periodically, especially in heavily-stocked systems where the fleece advances more often
  • Dispose of the spent fleece once fully used — it's a single-use consumable and isn't designed to be rinsed and reused
