Overview

Corals get plenty of energy from light, but light alone doesn't cover everything they need to grow, colour up and stay healthy long-term — they still need real nutrition delivered through the water. Coral Power Food from Coral Essentials is a liquid coral food designed to supplement that gap, giving corals across a mixed reef the proteins and nutrients that photosynthesis alone can't provide.

It's built to be simple to dose, fitting into a regular feeding routine without a lot of fuss.

Key features
  • Liquid coral food suited to broadcast feeding across a mixed reef system
  • Supports coral nutrition, growth and overall health as part of a wider feeding routine
  • Easy to dose manually or via a dosing pump
Who it's for

Reef keepers running a mixed coral system who want to top up nutrition beyond what photosynthesis and incidental feeding provide — particularly useful in well-skimmed, low-nutrient systems where corals can otherwise go hungry.

Setup & tips
  • Dose according to your tank's bioload and coral density, starting conservatively and adjusting based on response
  • Turn off skimmers and strong flow briefly during feeding to give corals a better chance to capture the food
  • Watch for polyp extension and feeding response as a guide to whether you're feeding enough
  • Keep an eye on nutrient levels if feeding heavily, since any coral food adds to bioload over time
