Overview

Dull colouration in fish is often a diet problem rather than a lighting or water-quality one — fish need the right natural pigments in their food to really show their colours. Colour Plus 60g from Dymax is a small sinking pellet formulated specifically to bring out vibrant reds, blues and yellows, using a blend of natural colour-enhancing ingredients rather than artificial dyes.

It's designed as a complete, nutritionally balanced diet in its own right, not just an additive, so it can be fed as a regular staple.

Key features
  • Natural colour enhancers including spirulina algae, astaxanthin and beta-carotene
  • Garlic extract included to encourage fussy eaters to feed and support general fish health
  • Prebiotics added to aid digestion and reduce solid waste output
  • Free from artificial colours and preservatives
  • 1.6mm small sinking pellet, suited to smaller and mid-sized fish
Who it's for

Great for herbivorous and omnivorous marine fish that could use a bit more vibrancy — think tangs, angelfish and other colourful reef residents. The small pellet size makes it easy for smaller fish to take down.

Setup & tips
  • Feed small amounts two to three times a day, only what your fish will clear in a minute or so
  • Remove any uneaten pellets promptly to keep water quality in check
  • Once colouration has visibly improved, feeding it more sparingly alongside a broader staple diet helps maintain results without over-reliance on one food
  • Rotate with other quality foods for a well-rounded diet rather than feeding this exclusively
