Overview

Keeping the front glass free of algae film is one of those small, constant reef tank chores, and the right magnetic cleaner makes a real difference to how easy it is. Tunze's Care Magnet Nano is built around special angled plastic blades and a compact, ergonomic design that cleans more effectively than a flat scraper while staying gentle on the glass.

It's sized specifically for smaller tanks with thinner glass, sitting between the Pico and the larger Long/Strong models in Tunze's Care Magnet range.

Key features
  • Suits glass thickness from 6mm to 10mm (1/4in to 3/8in)
  • Special wear-resistant plastic blades set at an angle remove more algae than a flat blade
  • Inner magnet sits more than 3mm from the glass, reducing the risk of sand jamming or glass damage
  • Compact design with a large cleaning surface area for its size
  • Includes a replacement plastic blade and coloured end caps
Who it's for

Owners of smaller reef tanks with glass in the 6-10mm range who want an effective, gentle cleaning tool sized to suit thinner glass.

Setup & tips
  • Check both the cleaner and the glass are free of sand or grit before each use to avoid scratching
  • Replace the plastic blade every few months to a year, depending on use
  • Not recommended for acrylic tanks - if you must use it on acrylic, stick to the plastic blade only
  • Keep the magnet moving in smooth, overlapping strokes rather than pressing hard in one spot
