Overview

Not every serious reef keeper wants a deep display tank - a lot of dedicated frag growers and SPS collectors actually prefer a shallow, wide footprint that gets more coral closer to the light. The CADE Reef S3/F 1200 is built specifically for that, offering a low-profile shallow reef system rather than a standard deep display.

It carries the same engineering standard as CADE's full-depth Reef S3 range, just reshaped for frag-focused or SPS-dominant setups.

Key features
  • Low-profile, shallow reef design suited to frag growing and light-hungry SPS
  • High-clarity Opti-Clear glass construction
  • Roller-mat ready, Triton-ready sump for advanced filtration
  • Quick-fit plumbing system with dual return outlets
  • 100% waterproof, corrosion-resistant all-aluminium cabinet
  • Roughly 66.5 gallons of display volume and 88 gallons total system capacity
Who it's for

Reef keepers building a dedicated frag system or SPS-focused shallow reef who want a purpose-built, professionally engineered setup rather than adapting a standard deep display tank.

Setup & tips
  • Take advantage of the shallow depth to run stronger, more even lighting across the whole footprint
  • Plan your frag rack or aquascape layout around the wide, shallow shape rather than a typical deep-tank arrangement
  • Use the quick-fit plumbing system as designed rather than improvising your own connections
  • Consider flow carefully given the shallow water column - it's easy to create too much surface disturbance if pumps aren't positioned thoughtfully
