Overview
Constantly scraping algae film and detritus off rock and glass is one of the more tedious parts of reef maintenance. Brightwell Aquatics Razor Marine takes a different approach, using a systemic cleaning polymer that gradually loosens buildup on surfaces and flocculates floating particulate matter so your filtration can remove it more easily.
It's designed as an ongoing maintenance aid rather than a one-off fix - a slow, steady improvement in water clarity and surface cleanliness over repeated doses.

Setup & tips
- Suspend activated carbon use while dosing, as it can reduce the product's effectiveness - carbon can go back in once you're happy with the result
- Expect to clean mechanical filter media more often while dosing, as it will be catching more flocculated particulate
- Works well alongside MicroBacter Clean - dose MicroBacter Clean first and wait a few hours before adding Razor Marine
- Watch livestock closely during the initial dosing period and reduce or pause use if you notice any signs of stress
