Overview

Leaving an RO/DI unit running unattended risks overflowing a reservoir or sump - or wasting a lot of water if nobody's there to switch it off in time. This Auto Shut-Off Upgrade Kit adds that safeguard, automatically cutting water supply to the membrane once your reservoir reaches its set level.

It uses back pressure created by a float valve to shut things down, rather than requiring any electronics or power source.

Key features
  • Automatically shuts off water supply to the RO membrane once the reservoir float valve is triggered
  • Prevents wasted water continuing to run after the reservoir is full
  • No electronics required - works purely on back pressure
  • Compatible with 1/4" RO tubing setups
What's in the box
  • 1/4" RO Automatic Shut-Off Valve
  • Fittings for connecting into an existing 1/4" RODI line
Who it's for

Anyone running an RO/DI system for auto top-off or water storage who wants to stop worrying about overflows or manually monitoring fill levels.

Setup & tips
  • Requires a minimum feed-in water pressure of 40 PSI to operate correctly - check your household pressure before installing
  • Needs to be paired with a float valve in your reservoir or sump to trigger the shut-off
  • Dual-membrane RO/DI systems need an additional check valve for the second membrane - check compatibility with your specific unit first
  • Test the full setup with a partially filled reservoir before relying on it unattended
