Setup & tips
- Rinse biological media in old tank water only, never tap water, to protect the bacteria colony
- Give a new filter time to establish bacteria before relying on it fully - seeding with an established filter or media speeds this up
- Check and clean mechanical media regularly so flow doesn't drop off over time
