Overview
AF DI Resin is a high-quality deionisation resin designed to be the final stage of your RO/DI water purification setup. After your reverse osmosis membrane has done the bulk of the work, this resin mops up what's left — stripping out remaining silicates, dissolved solids and other trace contaminants to give you truly demineralised water before it ever reaches your top-up or mixing station.
For reef keepers, water quality starts before the salt even goes in. Silicates and other impurities slipping through can fuel diatoms and algae, so getting this final polishing step right matters just as much as the membrane itself.

Setup & tips
- Load the resin into your RO unit's final DI stage — it's ready to use straight out of the pack
- Keep an eye on your TDS meter and replace the resin once readings start to climb, rather than waiting for water quality to visibly suffer
- Handle with care: wear gloves and eye protection when loading or changing the resin, and wash hands thoroughly afterwards
- Store the resin sealed and dry until use to keep it performing at its best
